SUZUKI MOTOR CITY NATIONALS RESCHEDULED INFORMATION
The Suzuki Motor City Nationals have been
rescheduled for September 21-23, 2007. Information pertaining
to the new weekend is as follows:
- All
spectator single day and weekend spectator tickets will be
honored for the September weekend. If you have a Friday or
Sunday single day spectator ticket and wish to come on
Saturday in September, the full ticket value will be applied
towards the purchase of a Saturday single day spectator
ticket. You must bring back your ticket in September in
order to return at no charge.
- All Car &
Driver AND crew that are planning on returning in September
must return with their wristbands in order to not be charged
again. Your wristband is your receipt from the original
weekend. Your old wristbands will be exchanged at
credentials upon your return.
- All
sportsman classes (except for Top ET and Modified ET) are
closed to new entries based on qualifying being completed.
Top ET and Modified ET are still open fields.
- All
professional fields are still open to new competitors
because no qualifying had taken place.
- All
sportsman runs made prior to eliminations during the new
date in September will be “time runs”. Official qualifying
for sportsman has been completed.
- All
elimination rounds completed in Hot Rod, Stock and Super
Round stand. When sportsman eliminations continue in
September, they will begin with the continuation of Round 1
of Super Rod, which is where the event ended.
- Transfers –
For the competitors in Hot Rod, Stock and Super Rod
who have won 1st round: Your event has begun and
transferring out at this point is not an option. If you do
not return, you will be paid round money for your first
round win and receive the appropriate points as having lost
second round.
- Transfers –
For the competitors in Super Stock, Quick Rod, Top
Sportsman and Top Dragster: Eliminations had not begun,
so those who can not return to the rescheduled date may
transfer out of the race following the process outlined on
page 141 of the 2007 IHRA Rulebook.
- We ask that
all transfer requests be submitted by September 21.
This will give IHRA time to process all paperwork and
provide you with up-to-date point totals prior to the Torco
President’s Cup Nationals in Maryland.
- Top
Sportsman, Top Dragster, Stock & Super Stock Ladders: The
field is closed to new entries but the field size and
subsequent eliminations ladder will be determined by the
number of returning cars as outlined on page 140 of the 2007
IHRA rulebook.
